Daniel’s interest in music started early when he began playing guitar and piano at the age of 10. While growing up in Mexico City he was involved in the rock music scene, playing and collaborating with local musicians and bands. After a year at Fermatta, one of Mexico’s most prestigious music colleges, he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. He graduated in Music Production and Engineering after which he moved to NYC and started working as an Assistant Engineer at Terminus Recording Studios. After only a year of working there, he was promoted to the role of Chief Engineer giving him the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Jack White, Tyler, The Creator and John Mellencamp.
Daniel has also recorded, mixed and produced at several studios in NYC including Reservoir Studios, Flux Studios, and Double 6 Studio. He has had the opportunity to work with Quest Love, Lin-Manuel Miranda, St. Vincent, Fred Armisen and Natalia Lafourcade.
Daniel has been awarded 4 times by the Recording Academy for his mixing and recording work.
