A career spanning almost 40 years, Mark has spent the last 33 years as a Senior Engineer at Sony Music. At times, a “jack of all trades”, splitting his time between the studio and mastering, Mark turned his attention strictly toward mastering in the mid 90’s. This focus helped garner him multiple Gold, Platinum and Multi-platinum awards, 11 nominations and 6 Grammy’s as well as a Spanish Oscar for his work on “Calle 54”. Not only can his work be found on all music formats, but Mark has also mastered music in stereo and surround for DVD, Broadcast and Cinema. Mark has mastered thousands of albums and singles across all genres of music, for indie as well as chart topping artists, from all around the world.
With the exponential rise of Immersive Audio, Mark is at the forefront of reimagining new music for Immersive enjoyment as well as working with manufacturers in the development of this new and exciting technology. Technologists and manufacturers have also engaged Mark for his input on new and emerging innovations and prestige products.
Recently, Mark was honored as a recipient of the dCS Legends award for excellence in Music Production.
