Vic Anesini, Senior Mastering Engineer, is one of the premier catalogue mastering engineers in the world. Vic has been at Sony Music Entertainment for over three decades, where he has brought his talents to master and mix music legends such as Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Simon & Garfunkel, Janis Joplin, Santana, Sly & the Family Stone, The Byrds and Stevie Ray Vaughan to name but a few.
Vic continues to be on the cutting edge of sound technology, most recently using Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, mixing releases for artists including Dylan Brady and Lennon Stella. Immersion audio expands upon Vic’s skills in the reissue of thousands of catalogue albums and newer box sets; making him an expert in utilizing digital technology to deliver authentic sound. This recognition propelled him to be an in-demand mastering engineer for a broad range of current artists. Vic’s single/album mastering credits range from P!nk, Paul Simon and James Taylor to the Wu-Tang Clan, Tony Bennett and the Derek Trucks Band. He also recently mastered the soundtrack for the Ken Burns movie Country Music.
Vic has mastered numerous Grammy Nominated/Winning artists. He has been twice nominated for a Grammy in the Historical Category for mastering the Johnny Cash box set “The Legend”, and the Elvis Presley box set “Young Man With The Big Beat”, The Complete 1956 Elvis Presley Recordings. Vic mastered the 60 CD Elvis Presley complete catalog box set “The RCA Albums Collection” and the renowned Phil Spector catalog including The Ronettes, The Crystals, The Righteous Brothers and Darlene Love.
Vic is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia’s Tonmeister program where he received his Bachelor of Science in Sound Recording Technology and applied String Bass. Vic is also a member of NARAS, has served on its Board of Governors for the New York Chapter, is a member of The Producers and Engineers Wing, and is a regular guest speaker at “In The Studio” Grammy Career Day workshops and at his undergraduate alma mater.
